Our Story

Mission: To take toxins out of laundry, homes, and lives.

It started with a yogurt cup.

In early 2025, my mom came to visit us in Canada. My wife and I noticed she wasn't throwing out empty yogurt containers. She was washing them, poking a few holes, and turning them into planters. Within a week, our window was lined with little pots of herbs and flowers.

"There's already enough plastic out there," she said. "Why buy more? Why make more?"

That simple moment stuck with both of us. If a yogurt cup could get a second life, why were we still washing our clothes with chemicals shipped in heavy plastic jugs that live on for decades? We wanted a better way.

Why ToxOut

We set out to build products that perform just as well as the traditional stuff, but without the harsh chemicals, hormonal disruptors, or plastic waste. We started with laundry because it touches everything: your skin, your air, your home.

Who we are

We're regular people. A husband and wife who believe small choices add up. We argue about who forgot to move the wash to the dryer, and we care a lot about making something honest and useful. No corporate polish, no greenwashing. Just hands on work and constant improvement.

What we believe

How we test (the messy part)

Our first tests happened at home. We bought white fabric from Amazon and made a mess on purpose: turmeric, dirt, ketchup, soy sauce, coffee. Then we washed, tweaked the formula, and washed again until the sheets cleaned like they should. Real stains, real results.

What makes us different

  • No greenwashing: We won't dress up a product to sound "eco" if it isn't.
  • Small and accountable: Email us and one of us replies. No bots.

Where we're going
